Caribbean Princess
May
Pros: Breathtaking scenery, excellent excursions, Ship decor was very good. Cabin set up was very good.
Cons: Food ok, buffet was cold because the doors let in cold air from the outside. it was also crowded hard to find a seat . Food became repetitious lack of variety
Recommended: Yes
We had beautiful weather, we were able to see the Hubbard Glacier and the glaciers in Glacier Bay National Park. The Dog Mushers camp in Skagway, the Whale watching in Juneau and the Crab Fisherman in Ketchikan were all very good and would recommend to anyone going to Alaska. We liked the Caribbean Princess, decor was warm and inviting. Service was excellent throughout the ship from the room steward to the dining room staff. We came down with colds so were unable to do any after dinner activities later in the cruise.

Amazing Alaska Cruise
May
Pros: Great staff, great ports, glacier bay a complete wonder
Cons: Crowded on ship as all was indoors
Recommended: Yes
4 of us, cruised Alaska. It commenced in Vancouver and visited Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and the glaciers IN and round Glacier Bay National Park. We choose this cruise specifically for that. It was amazing. We also took a helicopter out of Juneau up into the ice fields above a glacier for a walk that was humbling as you realize how big they are. Nature will always do what nature does. The land portion of our trip included Talkeetna, the Princess Lodges at McKinley and Denali ending in Fairbanks. No trip to Alaska would be complete without actually getting into the middle of the state and seeing what a majestic place the state is. The crew on board the ship were incredibly friendly and helpful as needed. All in all, we all would do it again.

cruising second time to Alaska
May
Pros: very good in helpful when asked questions about things on the ship
Cons: service was not very good at some bars and in the buffet area
Recommended: Yes
Overall, the service does need to have some more training or more people to help with the guest in service. Had to wait 30 to 45 minutes for a drink from the bars. In the buffet area was hard to get someone to serve us coffee, milk and water. When asked a few times their response was I will get someone to help you and then another person would come and ask what we would like to drink. Had lunch at the Palm dining room and was not happy with my lunch as the fries were cold and my sandwich was just ok. Our stateroom attendant Marvin was great and got us anything we needed.

Would take another cruise, just not this ship
March
Pros: Mostly friendly staff, room cleaning was awesome; medallion was super helpful
Cons: Semi old ship, problems with entering rooms, problems with automatic bathroom doors; some staff was less than helpful grumpy; some areas don't have enough bathrooms
Recommended: No
There were issues almost daily with services or equipment. Over all minor inconveniences but don't make for a great vacation. Watch out for what is and isn't covered. They'll charge you for a large bottled water but not for a small one even if you buy a package. They'll charge you at certain places for food that you can get for free at others even if you have your meals covered by a package. It's not very transparent. They're trying to charge you extra any way they can and when brought to there attention are very helpful. Specialty dining isn't worth it. Even if you buy a package they don't have much variety to make it worth it. You're better off eating at the other included restaurants. They say can get things delivered to you anywhere on the ship with your medallion. You can't. Anywhere you'd actually want the service isn't included and the waiters aren't very available in the areas other than the restaurants. Even getting a towel in the pool area when towels ran out was an issue. I waited for a least 30 minutes then just gave up and went to my room. Entertainment was changed at the last minute and was less than adequate and was heckled if they tried to leave.

Western Caribbean
March
Pros: Nice size ship. Staff are great. Meals were good. Entertainment good.
Cons: Steps into theatre and Explorers Lounge and even Dining Room areas. Sensor light too bright in middle of night. Shower head should be on hose.
Recommended: Yes
Nice itinerary. Great Cruise Director- Jody. Lovely British Captain. Theatre too small to accommodate passengers. Have to go 1/2 hr. before event to get a good seat. Some meat not as tender as should be. Meals nicely presented. Staff very helpful at Guest Services. Embarking and Disembarking were very efficient.

Cruise
March
Pros: Excellent crew
Cons: Ship appeared dated.
Recommended: Yes
Constant vibration was annoying. Felt the decor was dated. The app was poor at best. Internet was slow at times and sometimes just stopped working. The crew we interacted with were very good and friendly.

Good Trip
February
Pros: Good value
Cons: Reservations
Recommended: Yes
I purchased the premium upgrade. I wanted to enjoy the fine dining. It was not made clear that reservations needed to be made long before boarding the ship. On day one, it was obvious that there were zero opportunities to enjoy these premium options because all were fully booked for the entire cruise. As a result, the premium upgrade was a complete waste of money. FYI - at Grand Turk, don’t leave the immediate port area. I made that mistake. Big mistake…too long a story for here.
