Melbourne's arcades and laneways hide many of these answers. Join this indulgent afternoon walk through Melbourne's beautiful back streets, and get orientated in the life of the city that locals love. Discover artisanal and specialty retailers, that often are only found in the city. Some of the quirkiest cafes, independent designers, street art, architecture, and historical tales are found in these walkways. Soak in the city via all your senses, and engage with passionate creatives. There is something for everyone, locals and visitors alike.
Day 2: Melbourne City Sights Half Day Tour & Phillip Island Penguin and Moonlit SanctuaryBe dazzled by the wonderous sights of Australia’s most vibrant city and learn about Melbourne’s fascinating history with your expert Guide. Take a stroll in the gardens, see some of our world famous attractions like Albert Park Lake (Formula 1 track), Federation Square and Brighton Bathing Boxes. Known as Naarm by the local Wurundjeri people, Melbourne is a young city full of rich history, from John Batman and the first settlers, the gold rush, bush rangers and the birth place of Australia as a country. Today, Melbourne is the largest city in Australia. Known for sports, arts, fashion and food, this tour is a must for visitors to get a good idea of all the places to see and experience in Melbourne.Let Oceania Tours whisk you away to discover Phillip Island's unique nature experiences and dramatic landscapes. Your small group tour will help to further the protection and conservation of the local fauna and flora.
We drive south-east from Melbourne to reach Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park where you will meet endangered species, kangaroos, wallabies and koalas plus an array of colourful birds and reptiles.
Our journey then leads onto Phillip Island, the home of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix and our famous Little Penguins. Upon arrival on the island, depending on the time of year and your particular interests, we will visit Woolamai beach to see surfers riding the waves. From here, we go to the western corner of the island to enjoy magnificent views of Bass Strait and the Nobbies, which is home to the largest colony of fur seals in Australia.
During the daylight savings months, you will travel to the town of Cowes where you will have free time for dinner. In the winter months you can have something to eat at the Penguin Parade Visitor Center or wait for your early arrival back at your city hotel.
Finally, a trip to Phillip Island is not complete without its black tie gala event: the Penguin Parade. You will head to the Visitor Centre to shop, have a coffee and meander along the boardwalk to the viewing platform where you will see the little penguins come ashore, decked out in their tuxedos as they hurry off to find their burrows. On this tour, you will be treated to viewing the penguins at the special Penguins Plus viewing platform close to the little penguins' favourite spot to exit the water.
Day 3: Day at Leisure in MelbourneDay 4: Melbourne to the Yarra ValleyBoard our Yarra Valley Wine Experience - Enjoy personalized tour in the company of an average number of 12 -24 people. Our AWTC Wine Expert guide, who will entertain guests while taking in the sights during the journey to the Yarra Valley. After an approx. 1-hour transfer to Yarra Valley we arrive at a premium cellar door to enjoy the first tasting. Guests will learn how to swirl, sniff, slurp and then enjoy an extensive cellar door tasting at an iconic Yarra Valley cellar door. The next destination is Balgownie Estate, with spectacular views and a great display on the history of winemaking. The cellar door staff will share some of their great wines with guests before moving onto a delicious 1 course lunch to include a glass of wine and tea or coffee.

After lunch clients say goodbye to the group and make your way to reception to check in for a relaxing overnight stay.
Accommodation is a 1-bedroom Spa Suite.
There are activities to enjoy in the afternoon to include access to the Health Club (experience pool, steam room and gym equipment). Leisure facilities include tennis court, volleyball net, giant chess set and 1.6km walking trail.

Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort and Spa is located in the heart of the Yarra Valley, amongst the undulating green landscape, which is accentuated by the striking geometry of corridors of grape vines. Day 5: Yarra Valley to MelbourneBreakfast is included with the rest of the morning free time.
Guests must vacate the room as per check in instructions. Luggage storage is available on request with hotel staff.
Lunch is at client’s own expense.
1:00pm Guests make their way into the cellar door to meet your AWTC driver guide.
Enjoy an extensive cellar door tasting at 2 premium wineries.
Tour return time will be between 4:30pm – 5:00pm. Drop off location will be as per your pickup location.
Only space for 1 small overnight bag per guest. Suitcases and large bags to remain in Melbourne.
Accommodation check-out time: checkout time is 11:00am however late checkout requests can be satisfied most of the time but cannot be guaranteed. We recommend clients requesting at time of check-in.
A late checkout will be requested at time of booking by us however due to high occupancy on weekends it is not always available.

Day 6: Great Ocean Road Small Group TourExperience this majestic coastal drive-in style with your small group and enjoy time to relax and fully appreciate the wonders of this world-famous touring route. Stay on the lookout for some very special animals including whales, dolphins, echidnas and bandicoots. Your camera will get a good workout along this exciting journey where we will stop for plenty of photo opportunities.
To begin, your expert Oceania Guide will collect you from your Melbourne hotel to commence your exciting road trip. Your next stop will be at Apollo Bay, a tranquil seaside town which is most noteworthy for its setting among the soft rolling hills. It offers a great selection of cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy some lunch (not included). Following this, we will enjoy a walk in the forest in the Otway Ranges. A truly unique day out, capped off by a visit to the ancient rock formations of the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. Finally, your Oceania guide will transfer you back to the comfort of your hotel in Melbourne.
